Children's room and design issues

Natural parquet is suitable, but it will be expensive, laminate will be cheaper. Laminate looks great and is antistatic, and you can also use linoleum, but only natural.

Small children are mobile, and therefore slippery floors can cause injuries. So carpet can be an excellent solution for a children's room. You can just lay a small carpet, or you can lay the whole room, while you should choose carpets with a low pile, preferably felt or velour solutions. Such coatings have plenty of advantages, they can be easily cleaned, they do not fade and have antistatic properties. Carpet can be easily matched in color to the overall interior.

Elements of a children's room

The walls of such a room can either be pasted or painted. If you paint, you will be able to be creative and even use stickers, create different images and patterns. And even if the wall is soiled by a child, you can always fix the problem by painting it over. If you choose wallpapers, you can choose special children's solutions, they are widely offered today. You can take vinyl versions, or washable ones – the latter solution will also be practical.

Curtains are an important point, because they create style in many ways. You can choose both thick curtains and light weightless curtains, or design combinations. If we are talking about the sunny side, blinds or roller blinds may be relevant.

Lighting, too, can not be left aside. You can use an ordinary chandelier for general lighting, but it is worth remembering that some glass solutions and crystal will glare, and this is bad for the eyes. You need soft and uniform lighting, ideally it will be a flat ceiling in the center of the ceiling. The halogen that is relevant today will also work, the light will be bright, but it will not blind. In this way, you can create lighting around the perimeter. Also, do not forget about the night light, which should be in such a room, ideally at the headboard. This way you can provide your child with psychological comfort and protect him from the fear of the dark. It is better to choose those night lights whose glow is regulated.

To create comfort in such a room, you need to choose the right color palette. If the child likes bright colors, you can take them as a basis and play with shades. But it is worth remembering that an overabundance of bright colors and variegation will deprive the child of peace and comfort, so that the main area should be occupied by soft tones. Saturated colors are best suited for furniture or toys, other auxiliary things in the interior.
