cabinets or shelves for personal items, then they can be combined with a sink. In this case, there are bedside tables with a sink instead of a countertop.

Here you can also install built-in furniture. For example, shelves in the wall will save a lot of space in the apartment. Moreover, with small room parameters, such furniture elements can interfere with free movement. Placing them in the wall will also solve this problem.

The presence of a window in the bathroom is often regarded as an omission of the layout. And really, why is there a window in the bathroom? In fact, this element can be used to increase the free space of the apartment. Here you can come up with a lot of options: install a plastic window covered with a mirror film outside. Then all hygiene products can be located on the windowsill, and the curtains will no longer need to be closed.

If you make a window with a window pane, then you can install a cabinet or mount shelves in the window opening. The main thing is that the shelves do not interfere with opening the window.
