Stages of repair

The repair is not for nothing considered a natural disaster of a local scale. This is always a difficult and lengthy process that takes a lot of time and mental strength. If earlier many people tried to make repairs on their own, with their own hands, today people are increasingly giving preference to professional construction companies. Types of repairs

All repair work can be divided into several varieties. It depends on the goals that you are pursuing when starting repairs.

1. Cosmetic repairs. If your apartment seems uncomfortable to you, if you are tired of these old wallpaper, if the carpet is worn out, and the linoleum looks shabby – it's time to carry out cosmetic repairs. Redevelopment involves the transfer of walls, the demolition of existing partitions, the construction of new ones, changing the height of the floor and ceiling, cutting down new doorways or sealing up existing ones. This also includes work on the replacement of water supply, heating, sewerage, power supply systems, the transfer of plumbing equipment to another place.

3. Renovation. Previously, the concept of European renovation included carrying out repair work with the use of modern finishing materials of European production. Today, the renovation involves a complete change in the appearance of the apartment with the involvement of specialists. The repair is carried out according to a compiled design project and includes complex work, for example, installation of multi-level plasterboard ceilings, installation of "Underfloor heating".

Step-by-step repair work

Any process, including repair, can be divided into several stages. Understanding what should be done and at what stage, it is much easier to perform repair work.

stage 1. Preparation and approval

The first step is to determine the type of repair that you want to do. If this is just a small cosmetic repair, then no large preparatory work is required. But major repairs with redevelopment are a completely different matter. Here it is already necessary to coordinate all the work with many instances. Redevelopment involves obtaining permits of various kinds, depending on the work that you will perform.

You can collect all the documents and bypass the relevant authorities yourself. But if you plan to hire a construction company for repairs, then leave these problems to professionals to solve. You will only be required to provide documents confirming the ownership right. And all the approval procedures will be taken over by a construction company.

Often, homeowners have a question: why get a permit if you can just make repairs and live for your own pleasure? Indeed, no one will check your apartment specifically, but later you will definitely have problems. For example, it will be impossible to sell such an apartment, because the real object and the certificate from the BTI will not correspond to each other.

Until now, many people prefer to design an apartment, select materials and purchase them themselves. There is nothing wrong with this, especially if you have an excellent artistic taste and a good knowledge of the construction materials market. Depending on what is included in the design project, at this stage, demolition of walls, dismantling of doors, installation of new partitions, installation of a concrete screed is carried out. The last steps will be installing doors, reinforcing walls, leveling the ceiling, creating niches and openings in the walls, installing window sills. The ceiling is finished according to the design project: installation of a suspended or stretched structure, wallpapering, plastering. The walls are finished with tiles.

stage 4. Finishing finish

This is the last stage of repair, which takes the least amount of time. At this stage, finishing works are carried out directly. The floor covering is laid – laminate, carpet, linoleum. The walls are finished – painting, wallpapering, paneling. Installation of plumbing fixtures, sockets, switches, lamps is carried out. Install baseboards, platbands, locks and handles on interior doors, built-in wardrobes. After all these works are completed, the room is decorated.
