Simple design rules

There are many interior design styles, but any of them used within the living space should follow simple principles-the basics that are the same for any of the styles, because they follow the psychological characteristics of a person. They are unchangeable like the laws of nature.

It is impossible to overestimate the impact that the environment has on each of us – it forms not only a fleeting psychological state, but even human health. If a person lives in an environment that is comfortable for him, he can be noticed immediately, he feels good everywhere, because he has time to recharge at home and fully relax. There are such houses – if you go to visit, then everything seems to be quite normal, but in full perception it is good in the house, the apartment causes very positive feelings. This is not a mystery – you can create such interiors ,and you just need to learn how to do it.

The Golden ratio as a basic rule

When studying any new space, first of all, the technical perception, the right hemisphere, begins to work. It highlights clear, even proportions, and even if it does not find something to cling to, the creative left hemisphere begins its work, which works on associations, imagination, and so on. Even the most elegant landscape, divided exactly in half by the horizon line, will not cause any charm, because the left hemisphere will not be turned on, the right one will have time to carry out all the processing here. And therefore there should not be even and multiple divisions, it is not necessary to glue wallpaper of the same tone to exactly one third of the height of the room, make the border slightly lower or higher.

Visual information and the psychology of its perception

Considering life situations, you can understand their essence. Usually, a person receives only the final result of the brain's work, realizing that he is comfortable or not comfortable in the room, likes the furniture or does not like it, and the whole complex evaluation process is hidden and takes place in the subconscious.

When considering a picture or an interior, a person looks from the top on the left side to the bottom on the right, both right-handed and left-handed. And then a more detailed study of the picture begins in search of bright spots, semantic elements. As an example, we can take geometric objects.

By arranging the simplest forms in a certain way, it is possible to convey a particular semantic load, focusing precisely on the order of their perception. As long as the view goes from the top left to the bottom right, the entire image will be arranged in a logical row.

Consider a square ceiling, below which there is a chandelier in the form of a ball. A large square is hanging over a small ball and is about to crush it, this is worrying, since a small ball is perceived as rounded and good, it is under threat. The square is angular and large, it is dangerous.

If you put an aquarium of the same rounded shape on a square floor, a sense of comfort and confidence will be created here – from the opposite.

Energy in the interior

The same melody can be played both fervently and sluggishly, and everything is the same with the interior. It may be difficult to characterize the elements of a major in the interior at first glance, but in fact there are no problems in this. First of all, the division goes by shades, warm and cold. Warm – major. Cold – minor. And then the forms are used.

Minor lines go down, major lines go up. There is an indissoluble connection between form and color, it must be remembered. Using such means, you will be able to fill the interior with literally any content and it will cause exactly the emotions and states that you have conceived.

You should not start working on the interior until the entire project is fully thought out by you. Only after the color of the furniture and even sofa covers is thought out, it will be advisable to finally choose the leading shades of the interior. It is better to spend a lot of time at this stage and delay the start of work, than in the future to get a result that is not at all what we would like. Creating the same effect of invisible furniture, do not overdo it with white color, play with shades. And remember that even professional designers have cases when they had to change the wallpaper again after buying furniture.

Painting and its non-decorative role

Sometimes paintings by the hands of true masters and creative geniuses work wonders. They can give a surge of energy, motivate you to work – and there is no mysticism here, all this is an unspoken psychological message. And everything can be the same with the interior.
